Recently we have developed a carpet sample card or architect folder where a removable brochure was required. This is not a new requirement in the industry but they always seem to appear unsightly or not work as well as they should and the result was fantastic.
The inspiration was to use an elastic in some form or other sure to it’s technical qualities, but the question was how to apply it without it being wrapped around the folder which would make the carpet sample folder unsightly and not sit correctly on the shelf.
It was therefore decided that the fixings for the elastic brochure holder must be within the page size of the folder so we sent to work on how this could be possible, unfortunately due to the nature of the elastic it was not an easy task
It was evident after some trials that the metal fitting would not provide a neat enough or strong enough solution to adding the elastic brochure holder to the carpet sample card so we worked on developing a bespoke plastic cap that would securely hold the elastic and also be more aesthetically pleasing.
